Arne’s Country Connection Arne heard his first sounds of country music at the age of 10. Jim Reeves was the artist who caught Arne’s ear with his “down to earth” voice. What is remarkable is that Arne is a native Norwegian and at that time, he couldn’t understand a word that was being sung. He felt a connection that didn’t need to be expressed in words. Even though the sounds may have come from another culture, in a different language, traditional country music called to Arne.
